Summary of the phenomenology of poltergeist cases
A synthetic approach
In the history of parapsychology and the field of anomalistics, hauntings/poltergeists, more recently known as "RSPK" (recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis) or ghostly episodes, have played a constant role since antiquity in many places. Here's a presentation given at the SSE*-PA** connection in 2021.
Although it sometimes seems difficult to differentiate between hauntings and poltergeists, the emphasis here will be on cases where physical phenomena are observed: external phenomena (versus internal phenomena).
A summary of the types of events encountered is attached. These were established by grouping our 93 detailed parameters (see parameter headings in the database submenu) into some 20 synthetic parameters. The table gives the percentage of occurrences of each type of event in the cases considered.
